Theatre creators dream up new worlds and stories that inspire us, help us escape, and change our perspectives. But bringing these dreams to life is a years-long odyssey that takes dedication and investment.

At Odyssey, we support artists in creating imaginative new plays. We have taken 24 original works, translations, and adaptations from creation to production, developing the kind of plays you won’t find anywhere else, like this summer’s contemporary adaptation of The Miser and five new audio plays for our podcast, The Other Path.

We have five new works in development, including The Girl with No Hands, based on a folktale, and a myth-based work entitled The Blue Demon in collaboration with Sri Lankan artists.

Before you enjoy these works on our stage, they require considerable investment over several years for writers, dramaturgs, choreographers, and workshops with actors. These costs are more than we can shoulder on our own. Your donation today supports artists’ journeys to create powerful stories that will inspire and entertain you in future seasons.
